75' Tower Ladders

I think Ladder 87 will be one of the first towers to enter service. However, as of last Wednesday it was not in service. Saw 87 in their 2000 and was the only company in their assigned truck that I saw last week. Saw E154, E164, L84, L85, R5 all running spares last week.

Looks like all the new trucks will have alcoa wheels as opposed to the painted wheels on the 2010 towers ladders

  I was told that Alcoas are better at keeping brakes cool than steel wheels.

Why is Ladder 111 not getting a new rig? They should be due for a new one and see`s more fire then TL53.

It is not based on fire duty, but on the number of years that the truck has been used. Oh - 53 used the bucket today at a 2nd alarm fire.
