busiest on the job? stop

Brother and sisters, the Bronx is still burning. Look at the Satat's for Bronx Battalions 3, 17, 18,19, 26, 27. I worked in Ladder 19, in Batt, 26, UFO in the Mid. 1980s and it was busy then. It is still busy now. Still great firefighters and great people doing something right. What surprises me is the number of serious fires in Queens. Perhaps we in for a return to the "War Years" some of it in areas that did not really burn in the Late 1960s to mid 1980s. Stay safe brothers and sisters. Captain Bob Rainey FDNY engine 26 retired

This is 2023 numbers. The argument being made is 2024. It’s okay that Div 8 and “slower” Div 15 companies are doing well. It’s not going to hurt the 15th’s legacy, I promise.

We’ll reevaluate when 2024 numbers drop and considering YTD numbers show that many of these companies, including 330/172 have well surpassed their totals from 2023, we can talk then.
Been doing company stats for the past 3-4 years now, and can confirm that these companies have not well surpassed their totals from last year. They are roughly on pace with the same as last year, and my #'s are based on this site which is at least 95% accurate.

Well, if that’s the case I apologize, but I can say that there are companies mentioned here who have already surpassed their 1st due totals from 2023, and that I know for a fact based from the guy who keeps track of that.

I should have mentioned more so about 1st due work numbers from the start.

Where have you been?

Edit:
Appears you’re from 281/147 so if you’re just hating on these companies that your old house runs in with, that’s pretty stupid.
Where is my hate? It’s a statement of fact. Nobody is doing work… including this area.

Creepy looking through old posts as if you would find “hate” in any of my posts.

The coffee has kicked in.

“Work” is a relative term. In this thread we mean relative to 2024, not 1974, etc.

On that basis, the companies mentioned above are going more “legit” working fires than they ever have in years past. The demographic change in the neighborhoods is startling. What was once a solid middle class area of 1-2 family homes is loaded with SROs and illegal immigrant flophouses. Many such cases in all the boros.

330/172 seems to be in the eye of the storm 😉. It’s a 2024 storm, not a 1974 version. They are consistently going to significant working fires.

When you see guys from “busy” shops angling for officer spots in these companies , it speaks for itself.

75/33 was considered a “camp” until around 1970. Then the demographics changed overnight.

Very good point regarding demographic change and the amount of people packed in houses, apartments, and the streets.
Many barricaded in.
Add in Tons of e-bike/scooters/ lithium battery crap in just about every apartment and house and fires will happen.

Work will be consistent no doubt about it .

Stay safe
