Thats a fairly short relocate. There are routinely longer relocates in every borough.L-43 to 106? Geez nobody closer?
With the relief units - pretty much. Just missing some of the special units.Has to be equivalent of a 2nd alarm , no? Or very close.
7 Trucks in this shot with not a single Engine to be seen. Also this photo is perfect for wallpaper
just another case in point for the need for 5 man enginesThat's good. Trucks are only useful 100-75 feet in front of the fire building. An engine could be a block away and still do it's job.
Because they arent in the manpower. They have a different job. And both jobs cant be done safely together.Don't like throwing hand grenades, but, why are we the only dept. in the country that doesn't count the officer in the manpower? Technically every engine has 5 people, every truck has six. Some engines have six. I was around for "5 man engines". Does it help absolutely! There are some cities that are doing more work than us. A lot/most of them are doing it with two in the front, and two in the back. We are lucky to still have at least three in the back. just putting it out there. Bash away!
