That’s not Car 4F…. Admins don’t want names of Chiefs on the site.

Previous posts of car numbers I have posted received a thumbs up from Mack I was under the impression Mack is the administrator of this group not the members.

I will continue to name the Car number allocaed to recognised users of the car. I attched a response from Mack who is the administrator of this group and I will abide by his advice.

Lists of assigned cars by position are fine. It is not recommended to try to create and maintain a list by name because of frequent changes and inclusion of many lower-level assistants who probably prefer to remain off published lists on web sites. It is OK to name senior level chiefs and department heads who are publicly identified on web sites, in the media, on the radio at jobs. You really have to use your discretion, Des, as you well know. I get complaints about members who use real names and share personal information as well as medical information without consulting the people they write about. There are deletions and editing that are necessary, but overall, our site is very respectful of others. Thanks for all your contributions to our site.

Was just stating what was published. You can do whatever you want as I am not a admin. I have the full car number list but I keep it to myself as even tho it’s public record the FDNY and NYC is the highest potential for everything and not everything needs to be out there

I think what the understanding is with the admins is

We hear a progress report
“by the order of Car-100 Chief JoeBlow”

We can post the name in the rundown or in a comment added to a home made list if you have one

What we can’t do is post a list of everyone name per the Admins. If we post a name and it’s wrong I don’t think we are allowed to ask the correct name for it to be posted. Will just have to listen more closely

I could be wrong as I am not an Admin (yet haha) or I could be wrong because it’s not what people want to hear

Maybe an Admin can make a post of what they want done in the Group Rules section or something

I think the situation "Has Been Handled Very Well" and it's time for us to move on.

The main topic was a 3 Alarm fire in the Bronx, and those that presented rundowns, photos, and videos did an Excellent Job and THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO.

It is YOUR Contributions that make this Great Web Site What It Is Today.

Please Keep Up The Good Work.
