Interesting to see the block came out of the War Years fairly good. Probably a lot of rehabs and renovations from then until now, certainly more upscale cars and trees.
When I went back to my old neighborhood in Brooklyn for the 280/132 Centennial (2013), there were more trees on my old block than I remembered. Must be a sign of prosperity.

Yes my old block on University Avenue between Kingsbridge and 195 actually looks nicer now than it did 50 years ago. More trees etc. Thanks for the positive feedback. Happy holidays

Used to play Sunday morning softball 3 blocks away (Jerome & 195 St) - bar league in the 70s, lotta Irish bars around back then.
Before moving to VA, I lived at 2532 University Ave. Looking forward to the Kingsbridge Armoury redevelopment. It's long overdue
