RET FF IRVING L. BULGER LAD*9.....
Irving “Irv” Bulger, 86, was a native Staten Islander who was loved by everyone who met him. The devoted husband, father, poppy, and great poppy was a valiant member of FDNY. In 1965, he was awarded the Emily Trevor/Mary B. Warren Medal for a dangerous rescue (Dec 4, 1965) where he climbed 11 stories on a scaling ladder and rescued a family from a fire. Irv enjoyed spending time with his family, including dinners, cruises, or their annual family vacation at the Jersey shore. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara, his four children, Gary, Michael, Bonne, and Robyn, their spouses, his 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

The Bulger family did not have an obituary in the Advance/SILive.com.
Son Gary retired Ladder 18/Bn 4. .......... REST IN PEACE BROTHER.....PRAYERS FOR THE COMFORT OF THE FAMILIES......Irv is mentioned & quoted toward the end of this story..... https://azdailysun.com/for-close-kn...cle_db85ff15-7cf5-58e0-99e9-2c8b9967e977.html
Thank you for this brother. This is my grandfather and I was very fortunate to be searching something about his scaling ladder rescue and this popped up.

The FDNY was his livelihood. I swear the day I got on the job, he was prouder than the day his own son, my uncle Gary Bulger ret. L18 got on.

Be well and thank you again.
