RET A.C. WILLIAM A. SHAW.....
On Sept 2026 at 84 yrs of age.....RET May 1995 after 28 yrs OTJ...
REST IN PEACE BROTHER .....THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE BOTH MILITARY US NAVY & USNR & FDNY...PRAYERS FOR THE COMFORT OF THE FAMILIES.
I first met Bill when he was a LT in LAD*110 & we (R*2) were in BN*31.....always good to see & work with him ......he lived not too far from me & on occasion i wold see him & his Sons around....he always had a nice hello & took the time for some talk.....he was also a Lawyer.....while he was Chief Of Safety there was a LODD & the FC told him he wanted a report on his desk right away....Bill explained it was not possible but the FC insisted.....Bill insisted it was not the proper way to accomplish it properly & handed in his RET papers.
