B-25 STRUCK EMPIRE STATE BLDG 70 YEARS AGO

News article of the day suggest that many more personnel of FDNY responded than merely the four alarms. Anybody know of special calls above the fourth for relief?

Thanks, G-man.  I thought they had moved to 20th Street by then.  Always good to get the word from the expert!

The reason Engine 3 responded later is that they used to be located further away than they are today. On that day they were coming from at 417 W. 17th St. off of 10th Ave.
Sorry, I worded that poorly. Engine 3 wasn't listed where the rest of the units were, so I missed them when I originally posted the rundown. They seem to have been left out of the rundown but included later in the document that says which units operated on 33rd Street.

These two links both contain the full FDNY report on the incident. In the first link, every page is in one picture. In the second link, each page was broken up into multiple images so they would be easier to see. After opening the links, click one of the images in the grid to view it. After that you can move through the images left or right either with the arrows under the image or the arrow keys on your keyboard. To view an image closer, just click it and then click the plus sign under the image to zoom in on it, then click-and-drag to move around the image. If something doesn't seem to work or anyone needs help feel free to let me know. Finally, I apologize if any of the images are too small or blurry.
