Is there anyway to get the engine ladder bee boos as my ringtone?  Can someone tell me how?

Here is a link to the file

I guess it would depend on your phone as far as getting the audio onto it.

It can be done.

Since you only get the beeboos while AQ, maybe the double-ring of the MDT would be a better fit for a cellphone?

Just speculatin'.  :)

I have an original FDNY corner pull box for sale. It has the original flame ontop and is in good condition. The paint is coming off slightly but can be easily repainted. If its not sold by the summer I am going to repaint it. Looking for buyers I can send pics. I am asking for 4,000 OBO.

Tom,

Same buffy question, does anyone have the special unit sounds and/or the mdt sound.

Thanks

Special unit is in the tones section. Take a look.

I will have to get a copy for the MDT. It's just a dumb phone ringing sound, nothing special.

ya its on this web site

Anyone have to old bee-boos?

No, sadly Engine 99, Ladder 62 and Squad 55 wore out the old ones, so the Dept was forced to revert to the current ones  ;D

No the rescue me bee boos wer of the i think it was the directors wifes voice but edited they were gonna change it to the ones they have now but didnt and squadd 55 was a bell

No fellas, the older bee-boos that were around with the older style teleprinters.

After months of failing to get the .wma bee-boos into my cellphone, I finally converted the whole bunch of them to .wav files.  And now I *really* get skeptical glances from the wife when the cellphone goes off.  Maybe I'll fall back to the plain MDT ringer.

Anyone who wants/needs the .wav bee-boo files, just send me a PM.

When did they start using the current bee-boos and what did they use before now?

The bee boops have been around at least 25 plus years. The newer sounding ones with the little blip after them have been around probably 10-12 years. Prior to Starfire, units were turned out over the voice alarm, which is an intercom between the dispatchers and the firehouses. Prior to the voice alarm was the bells.
PS, with the new voice alarm system, the dispatchers can turn out companies and it has a pre programmed bee boop that we use. It sounds different from the one generated by Starfire.
