One member of the Binghamton Fire Dept was lost and two others injured overnight at a fire at 1 Court St. A MAYDAY was transmitted reporting multiple members trapped following a partial structure collapse at the "vacant" building.

May our brother Rest in Peace, we owe it to him to ensure that his family and friends know we all deeply share in this tragic loss. We must learn from this tragic loss. Does anyone know if the Vacant Building was marked with an "X" to indicate Outside Fire Operation Indicated? Also, who evaluates the structural stability of fire building in Binghamton F.D.?
