This is a limited posting for Chicago companies, busiest and slowest for 2023. There is a download at the facebook site "Second Battalion CFD that lists all companies, squads, chiefs and ambulances if so interested. Or maybe a computer genius can post it. BUSY: E-122 5993 total,3851 EMS and 2142 Fire related. T-26 5272 total, 2542 EMS and 2730 fire related. SLOWEST: E-104 197 total with 53 EMS and 114 fire, and its truck company T-61 with 265 fire related and 101 EMS runs for a total of 366. E104/T61 are in the far South East section of the city. Pretty sure that is the slowest house as well, while E-95 (4482)and T-26 (5272)might be the busiest. Add A10 with 8791 runs and that house did 18,545 runs.

Any insight on why, for the slowest house, the truck would be doing more medicals than the engine? I don't know anything about how the CFD operates. Thanks

Do you mean engine Co. 2? That is a fire boat. Not quartered with a truck.

No, referring to "E-104 197 total with 53 EMS and 114 fire, and its truck company T-61 with 265 fire related and 101 EMS runs for a total of 36"

A source told me if both are BLS units they will alternate during the shift, but this is not set in stone. Both those companies are BLS companies.

Hey Grump, how can they justify a company with only 197 runs? Are they really isolated? Sorry, not familiar with the area.

Ironically this same question was asked last year. The address is 11659 South Avenue O which is 3434 East. This is as far south and east as you can go in the city. It was the site of the various steel mills Chicago had which are now all vacant hulks. They are assigned to Battalion 24 along with 74 (1200 runs) 81 (1700) and 97 (1300) runs, the 24th had 283 fire incidents. This house was built in 1971 and there is some political influence as well I believe.
