Do you remember.
If you lived in or around New York City maybe you remember these popular AM radio station DJs.

Riding around in your car you probably had your AM radio tuned in on your radio to 770 AM listening to Cousin Brucie.
This was his theme song.

Maybe it was NYC Radio Station WNBC AM 660 on your dial with Imus in the morning

Or at midnight signing off with Wolfman Jack

I remember staying up after midnight to listen to Jean Shepherd's fantastic stories on WOR, I think . . . does anyone else remember "I, Libertine" by Frederick R. Ewing?

Didn't listen to "Wolfman". My favorites were Ted Brown, Joe O'Brien, Scott Muni, Herb Oscar Anderson, Dean Hunter, Jack Lacy and some others. And last but not least, Harry Harrison.

My favorite time, sometimes, was the quiet solitude of early morning Housewatch duty as the sun rises with fresh hot cup of Joe in hand and I'd have playing on the radio CBS FM 101 the "Morning Mayor" Harry Harrison....Also , lets not forget, back in the heyday of mid 70's when Don Imus made his mark.

Scott Muni is a name I had forgotten about. I listened to him everyday on WNEW until he went over to 104.3 and listened a few more years on there until I stopped working in NYC.

I don't remember Wolfman Jack here in NY. I thought he was a California Guy. My wife used to call in the Birthdays of me and the kids to Harry Harrison in the AM. So as I pull up to the Firehouse, Harry announces my Birthday. Later that morning the Babe says he heard on the radio today was my BD.

I listened to the Wolfman on XERF, the pirate radio station out of Del Rio, Texas. They had their antenna across the river in Ciudad Acuna, Mexico. Most powerful signal on the planet, 100,000 watts. You could hear it in Maine, in North Dakota and in Oregon.

IfI remember correctly, "Wolfman" was on WNBC 66 AM for a while.
