ENG*8 1958 MACK MODEL.

FF on the extreme right side of photo is wearing the old grey "turnout" pants. Another blast from the past!
 
When I came on the job, I remember I had a pair of those grey turnout pants.
 
On the ENG*8 Model is a Brass 5 Gallon Indian Pump water extinguisher worn on your back with straps like a knapsack....AKA a J. O. Pump.
Those were very heavy to carry around on your back but were very useful many times for small grass/brush fires. Carried one around many times.
