FATHERS DAY FIRE.

Ceremony Today early with 262, 263, 116, 117..a few others I'm sure. The building is taking longer to complete than anticipated here at the former site. The plaque in commemoration is still planned. RIP This Father's Day.

"If a man has nothing, he would give his life for, it means that he stands for nothing." This Quote is from FDNY Magazine W.N.Y.F. on the Line of Duty death of Captain John Dunne of Ladder Co. 175 at an East N.Y./Brownsville dwelling fire while searching for children reported trapped. This quote applies to the 3 brothers who died in the Father's Day Fire, and the 343 Lost on 9/11/01 at the W.T.C. and every firefighter who risks his or her life in the noble cause of saving lives. To our honored dead rest in peace. To us who still fight the battle "In a war that has no end" against fire, let us learn to be safer and watch out for each other and ourselves. Captain Bob Rainey FDNY Engine 26 retired

No new updates from the developer on the Plaque as of Yet. Be there Sunday Morning as with Every Fathers Day to Honor these Men. Continued Rest In Peace.

May they continue to Rest in Peace. May their families, those who responded and the members they worked with continue to be comforted.
