I remember this ad from an issue of Fire Engineering. I also remember a Mack ad that said, "F.D.N.Y. goes with Mack again and again".

What a nice post Mack. My favorite was the Mack ad with 234 pulling out of quarters. It was in the Fire Engineering magazines of the era

ALF was Elmira, WLF was Elmira Heights.

Another great ad from that era was one from Waterous pumps featuring an overhead shot of multiple companies (all CF Mack’s) operating at a multiple alarm job of taxpayers on a corner in the Bronx ( I may be wrong but I believe it was Tremont and Southern).

Ward was a relative of Truckson LaFrance, the founder of the original company that later became ALFCo.
