This is an OFFICAL Report on the most recent FDNY Fire Apparatus News, which I received from a friend.

PUMPERS:
Eng 161, Eng 321, Eng 273, Eng 1, and Eng 265 - have received new 2023 Seagrave Pumpers
Eng 15, Eng 9, and Eng 72 - will receive new 2023 Seagrave Pumpers shortly
41 Additional Seagrave Pumpers are on order

8 Rescue-Pumpers for the Squad Co's are on order from Seagrave

7 High Pressure Pumpers are on order from Seagrave

LADDER TRUCKS:
Tower Ladder 86 and Tower Ladder 87 have or will receive shortly - 75' Seagrave Tower Ladders
Ladder 42 received a new 2023 Seagrave rear mount

11 - 100 ft Tillers are slated to start delivery from Seagrave
Ladder 169 will get the first one, loosing their rear mount rig

Purchase Orders from Seagrave
48 - rear mounts
17 - 75 foot tower ladders
13 - 95 foot tower ladders

Expected Delivery Time For A New Rig Is - 3 Years, due to supply chain and manpower issues

Engine 9 has a 2016 KME they're getting a New Rig?
 
Does this mean the FDNY will now have a 14th TDA? Because 169 is losing there RMA? Or are there still even 13 left, using info from a 2017 Times Article.

Someone will correct me if I am off on any of this, but: FDNY has five general types of engines currently in circulation:
1) Some 1000gpm units, which are spares
2) Some 1000gpm units (with rescue-engine style bodies) assigned to the eight squad companies.
3) The current conventional engine assigned to front line companies is 2000gpm with a two-stage 600psi pump.
4) Among these, some are designated high pressure pumpers, which means they get assigned special equipment to pump at high pressures.
5) A select few engines are three-stage pumpers, which are also 2000gpm but can get to 700psi.

There are eight three-stage pumpers (mostly in Manhattan) and an additional 29 high pressure pumpers. The remainder of FDNY's engine fleet is the standard 2000gpm unit (or the 1000gpm unit for squads/spares). All engines have 500 gallon tanks. Also worth noting volume (gpm) and pressure (psi) aren't the same thing.

High pressure engines are 3 stage pumpers instead of the normal 2 stage. They also carry special hose for supplying standpipes in high rises

Per the operations manual, not all high pressure pumpers are three stage. Different categories. All three stage are high pressure, but not all high pressure are three stage.
 
all of the fdny 2000gpm engines are at least a 2 stage pump all can technically operate up to 600PSI but don't due to safety issues since you need special high pressure hose and discharges . many engines in high-rise areas have a standard 2000gpm/600psi engine with a high pressure hose and discharge (that is a heaver duty discharge then the standard ones) is put on one of the regular discharges , the high pressure engines 6,8,10,26,34,39,54,65,226,258 have a 3 stage 2000gpm/700psi pump , the high pressure hose and dedicated high pressure only discharges on the rear

The red hose with the white couplings. You see them on some high rise/ mega high rise” fires in Manhattan
 
Correct. All engines no matter what type can pump up to 300psi using the 3 1/2 anything above that needs approval from the Ic (bc or above ) and needs to use the red 3 inch high pressure hose and a saftey zone around the pumper and the hose is established
 
Probably the wrong thread, but was one of the ladders that responded to the Bronx fire last night was in a spare. Anyone know what company it was? I believe the spare is a 2001 Seagrave.

Ladder 59 & 29 are in spares
