Does anyone know what the city does with the old, wornout,or wrecked fire apparatus? Do they have a boneyard where they keep them for parts? Do they sell them? Just curious to know.

I've seen old FDNY rigs at Brookfield truck wreckers in Elmsford, NY.

I believe there are a few yards throughout Queens where unused rigs (both spares and old rigs) are stored.  Retired rigs are stripped down and either sold through used rig companies or scrapped entirely.

Looks like an E-One rescue setting to the left side.  What are all the red box trucks.

I recall seeing on another board that it went to Rescue 4, due to the fact that their truck was major electrical issues.

I believe that box looking rig is an old decon unit/decon support unit. You can find it here http://fdnytrucks.com/files/html/specialunits/soc.htm (credit to Mr. Martinelli) scrool down to the bottam. It is an old Mack CF converted by the shops.
