The ENG*91 picture on East 111 St bet 2nd & 3rd Aves is a 3 door FH .....the left 2 doors enter into a double bay & in the '50s had 2 Sections of 91 that were later disbanded then a 2nd Section of ENG*91 was organized again in '68 & in the same FDNY War Years period BN*25 (former 2nd Section of BN*12) moved from ENG*58 / LAD*26 to ENG*91s Qtrs.......also in the '50s when there was only 1 Section of 91 the double bay housed 91 & DV*4 & a fully equipped Reserve Ladder......the right door entered into a separate bay with a separate kitchen for LAD*43....the only inside pass thru's were in the single HW & also an opening on the 3rd fl. ..as a kid I spent some great times there in the '50s riding with LAD*43 when my Father was working.....after 43 moved to their new FH in the early '70s the separate bay housed a Federally Funded Salvage Unit then after that was disbanded the Fire Marshals were there at one point.

Engine 151 used the former volunteer firehouse on Butler Ave for 25 years, from 1905-1930, until the Tottenville firehouse was built in 1930 on Amboy Road for Engine 151 and Ladder 76.

Another batch...some pretty neat history in some of these
