I wonder. My feeling is Hodgens, because of the fact that he has been absent at department events and Esposito has been acting COD. I'm wondering if this has been in the works for a bit, and JH put in his papers and will take the job once he is officially retired.
But, we shall see.

Nicholas Scopetta was not a firefighter, he was a lawyer as well. But, I don't recall any controversy about him never being a firefighter

I would like to see Bob Turner come back from his retirement as 1st Deputy Commissioner and lead the FDNY into the future. Bob is a asset and was very well respected when he was on the job. I first met Bob when he was in the 46 Batt and contuined up the ranks.
