Cab is not locked. All other compartments are.So the meters and electronics and things I understand, but why are the hand tools, SCBAs and such not kept on the truck.
With how bad the squads are who knows they are trying to get the squads on a 7 year replacement like rescuesAny plans for the Squads to have fully stocked spares like the Rescue's do? Seems like 1 spare Squad isn't really enough.
Sqd 800 isn’t a spare it’s a reserve unit being that it’s fully equiped and can be in service in a fairly quick time line. They do have spare squad rigs , not truly sure on the number of squad spares. A spare is a rig that has no equipment on it. When a company‘s rig goes out of service for a mechanical issue and must use a “spare “ they have to completely transfer their equipment from the oos rig into a ”spare “. And that can take hours to do.Any plans for the Squads to have fully stocked spares like the Rescue's do? Seems like 1 spare Squad isn't really enough.
Only one spare squad rig. Trying to keep inservice for the rest of the year. Just Recently up to 4 squads where using spare engines as spares. SQ1 SQ252 SQ61 SQ18 and 270 had the spare squad.Sqd 800 isn’t a spare it’s a reserve unit being that it’s fully equiped and can be in service in a fairly quick time line. Reserve = Full equipment rig that can be put in service in a short amount of time , for unusual incidents and emergency.
Spare = an empty rig that will be used by a company when their normally assigned rig goes oos for a long period of time.
Squads are not Rescues two different animals.
Well FDNY is basically all Ferrara’s…. New ones should hopefully be Seagrave. So what is the preferred brand for rescues? What do they guys like? What manufacturing company?
