More than 150 firefighters responded to the fire in the building that houses 529 Bagels and Ralph's Famous Italian Ices, the Nassau County Fire Marshal official said.

Approximately 200 firefighters from Valley Stream, West Hempstead, Malverne, Lakeview, Garden City, Stewart Manor, Floral Park, Elmont, Uniondale, Lynbrook, Mineola, Inwood, Long Beach and East Meadow assisted the Franklin Square & Munson Fire Department in battling the fire.
