For some of us here, many years ago, Easter Sunday was a very special day
The day before Easter Sunday we would color Easter Eggs, while Mom is cooking the big Easter Sunday dinner with plans of inviting the whole family over
Then we would go to sleep the night before hoping to wake up to our Easter Baskets filled with lots of goodies
Maybe a little Easter Egg hunt too, around the house with special colored eggs marked 1 cent, 5 cents, and a big 10 cent hidden egg to find.
Of course on Easter Sunday morning we would all walk to church
Then come home and our parents would tell us not to eat any candy until we ate our Easter Dinner.
My father was a firefighter and sometimes he had to work so he couldn't be with us
When that happened, my mother and grandmother took over making sure the rules were followed.
I remember this very popular Easter song as a kid.
