It's probably been asked and answered but does FDNY still have 24 hour watches?

If you mean is there someone on ‘Housewatch’ 24 hrs /day, the answer is YES. By rules it’s divided up into 3hr shifts but each House has there own unofficial setup.
My first Company had the night tour set up as:
