Is the FLY Car program still operating?

what are the tactical response group units using the fly cars or are they using regular ambulances
I don't believe the TRGs ever had ALS, but with that said I almost never interacted with them. The Bronx TRG was disbanded a few months ago, and the Queens TRG uses regular ambulances.

You are correct. No ALS in either TRG.

They should have EMS equipment on board, so if that they need it, they can use it. But sending them to EMS runs are just a terrible idea.
I agree with equipment on the rig. Never know when it will be needed. Just based on the ratio of engines to trucks one would think that if you were going to use truck companies for CFR-D you would use them as a last resort and maybe only send them on a very very few call types and only to their first due boxes. That being said I am not convinced it needs to occur in the first place. Focus on making the EMS system more robust and functionally efficient. Compensating them appropriately is a good first step.

The PRUs returned to service in June. As of now we operate in modified ambulances, but eventually we'll be back in the vehicles you described.

The program is slightly different than before and much more popular among the members than the previous iterations.

You would be correct sir! I’m especially comforted by the harshly worded decal on the truck that informs would be felons they should not assault the occupants of said vehicle. I wonder if it actually works ? 🧐
If it doesn't work on public transit, it definitely doesn't work on EMS.
