I've noticed Ladder Companies no longer have nick names on aerials and tower ladders. Seems they have Company number. Has something come down official stating only company number be displayed? 124 used be Tonka Truck and 176 Tin House Truck.

146 has their thunderbolts on the tower

If your referring to 176's brand new rig, companies get their new rigs as is and within a month or two the rig is usually customized and brought back to its old style. The new rigs do not come pre-customized.

^^^ I don't think the manufacturers stopped putting logos on FDNY Rigs .....as far as NEW boards attached to NEW Aerials i don't know ? ........a little while back when the manufacturers started asking for a Patch or a Company logo drawing to put on a new Rig I at first thought that it was nice that they were contributing & it would be done professionally but after awhile i noticed Units that really might not care now were adorned so instead of like in the past with the additions showing Company Pride now it may have joined the "Everybody Gets a Trophy" movement......seeing some Rig's today you don't know if the handi work was done as a Company Pride endeavor or slapped on by the manufacturer on a "slug sled" that never would have bothered on their own.... JMHO
