USMC CPL ROBERT HENDRIKS was brought Home today Friday 4-19-19 escorted by his Brother also a Marine....around Noon they were met at the George Washington Bridge by ENG*93...LAD*45 & BN*13....also many other FD & PD Units as they travelled along the Cross Bronx over the Throggs Neck Bridge down the Cross Island Parkway to the Long Island Expwy East to Glen Head LI NY.

Members attending the funeral of Firefighter Christopher Slutman on Friday, April 26, at St. Thomas Church, are asked to line up at 10:30 AM along 5th Avenue from 51st Street South to 42nd Street.
Members attending the funeral are strongly encouraged to utilize mass transit, as there are no designated parking areas for private vehicles. Options include:
B, D, F, or M subway lines to 47-50 Street Rockefeller Center station
E line to 5 Ave/53 St station
4, 5, 6, 7 subway lines or Metro-North RR to Grand Central
Companies and outside departments utilizing charter buses are asked to follow the following routes for access and parking:
Entering from the East side of Manhattan, take 42nd Street to Madison Ave. Head North on Madison Ave. IMT members will direct buses to park along the East side of Madison.
Entering from the West side of Manhattan, take 42nd Street to 6th Ave. Head North on 6th Ave. IMT members will direct buses to park along the East side of 6th Ave.
Complimentary food and water will be available along 47th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue for all attending the funeral. Following the funeral, a coalition will be held at Sony Hall, 235 West 46th Street.

Parking will be available at Orchard Beach in the Bronx. A shuttle service from Orchard Beach to the funeral home will be provided for both the 2:00 ? 4:00 PM and the 7:00 ? 9:00 PM sessions on Thursday. Shuttle service will begin approximately 30 minutes before each session. Shuttle service will end approximately 45 minutes after the completion of each wake session. Department personnel will be present at both the parking lot and drop off location to direct anyone wishing to utilize this service.
The nearest train is the 2 train at the Bronx Park East station, a half mile walk.
Engine 90 / Ladder 41, located at 1843 White Plains Rd in the Bronx, will be open and available to those attending the wake. The firehouse encourages members to stop by for a cup of coffee, and members are also welcome to use the facilities if needed.

On Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at 1300 hours, New Castle County Fire Chiefs Association will be hosting a Memorial Service with full Fire Department Honors for Firefighter Christopher Slutman at the University of Delaware Bob Carpenter Center, 631 S College Avenue, Newark, DE 19716. All Delaware Fire Departments are invited and encouraged to participate. Uniformed Personnel and Apparatus must be present by 1100 hours.
