Members attending the funeral of Firefighter Christopher Slutman on Friday, April 26, at St. Thomas Church, are asked to line up at 10:30 AM along 5th Avenue from 51st Street South to 42nd Street.
Members attending the funeral are strongly encouraged to utilize mass transit, as there are no designated parking areas for private vehicles. Options include:
B, D, F, or M subway lines to 47-50 Street Rockefeller Center station
E line to 5 Ave/53 St station
4, 5, 6, 7 subway lines or Metro-North RR to Grand Central
Companies and outside departments utilizing charter buses are asked to follow the following routes for access and parking:
Entering from the East side of Manhattan, take 42nd Street to Madison Ave. Head North on Madison Ave. IMT members will direct buses to park along the East side of Madison.
Entering from the West side of Manhattan, take 42nd Street to 6th Ave. Head North on 6th Ave. IMT members will direct buses to park along the East side of 6th Ave.
Complimentary food and water will be available along 47th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue for all attending the funeral. Following the funeral, a coalition will be held at Sony Hall, 235 West 46th Street.
