Many years ago when FDNY had what was called a combination company, days of the horses, & also early motorized, some of the engine companies had three rigs - Steamer (pumper), Hose wagon, & a ladder. All were part of Engine 62. Ladder 32 at one time shared qtrs with Eng 97.Why are both apparatus sides / doors marked as 62 ENGlNE 62 ?
