New Seagraves

E-52 had accident when a car cut in front of rig. Otherwise that rig has been in service most of the time, this is definitely not a rig that would keep the mechanics employed. Damage wasn’t bad guess they are backlogged on parts for repairs.
KME….

In the new Fire Apparatus Journal, it was quoted FDNY has placed orders with Seagrave for additional apparatus:

41 pumpers (on top of an existing order of 10)
8 squad pumpers
7 high pressure pumpers
Total of 30 Aerialscopes (75 and 95)
48 rearmounts

*The first of 11 tillers is due by the end of this year.

So, does anyone know how many pumpers are in the order currently being delivered? (On top of the 41/10 just ordered)

How many Aerialscopes are in the order currently being delivered?

The 48 rearmounts are on top of the 55 currently in production? (Considering these new orders have to be 4-5 years out)
48 Rear mount ladders on top of the current order of 55, that's a total of 103 trucks. Does this mean that the ladder companies that are receiving new rear mounts now will be replaced within 5 to 6 years allowing for newer spares and completely removing the farraro's from service?

The production time for new apparatus is through the roof. Good chance they won’t be delivered for at least 3 years

Has anyone seen the lights on the back of Engine 69 ? From YOUTUBE >>>

TA Bar was added starting with E-69's (Late 2023) rig and every rig after that. Only 2 left on the batch of orders to be delivered to the shops before 2008's-10's are fully replaced from frontline service rigs.
Also starting with E 69 radios ( music ) are now in the Engines. The Ladders also have radios installed. The new E 210 & E 236 were delievered to the shops last week. They are not lettered nor numbered.
Sometime after the new year the last 2 pumpers of the order will be delievered. They are E 241 ( SP 23022 ) and E 292
( SP 23023 )
