After weeks of waiting for his first Covid shot, our friend Mr Frank D., aka "fdce54", happy day finally came.

As most of us have reported, everything has gone pretty smooth for us when we got our shot. But not for Frankie D.

When seeing him, it appears that he walked into a moving truck. His face scratched up, a bandage on his forehead, a swollen left eye and his hands bandaged up.

BUT - did he walk into a moving truck ? No folks, he walked into a porta potty. He didn't walk inside of it - BUT - right into it.

After a little tender loving care by a couple of on duty EMTs, Frank was escorted right to the next available nurse for his first covid shot.

He had no side effects from his covid shot, but a few side effects from walking into that big outside porta potty.

Frank says the only thing he had to drink before it happen was an extra large coffee he stopped by to get.

Lets hope when he's scheduled to get that Second Covid Shot he doesn't stop by to pick up another one of those extra large coffees this time.

The story about Frank stopping to get that extra large coffee to drink, then walking into some outside porta potty just doesn’t seem to fit his story.

Oh yes, seeing his bandages I can believe he did walk into that outside porta potty.
But my first thoughts were did he really stop by to buy himself that extra large coffee ? Or did he maybe buy himself an extra large alcoholic beverage that kind of gave him a somewhat dizzy feeling. Most of us can relate to that at some point.

Well friends, it seems that Frank is doing okay and we are happy about that. But for some of us who saw him the other day, it sure didn’t look like coffee was the cause of that.

Today (Saturday 1/9), "Lebby" plans to make a trip to the EMS Shops to try and locate that flag. I sure appreciate the fact that Phillip is willing to do this. For many of us, this is a very Special American Flag and I sure hope that he is able to locate it and attach it to the back of the FDNY/EMS unit he operates.

Yesterday, one of our members called me and the discussion led to Frank Meade "manhattan". I could NOT say enough about Frank. He was such a GREAT Individual and did so much for others. His appreciation to the members of the NYPD, FDNY, FDNY/EMS, and U.S. Military Veterans was "second to none".

He was a very educated man but never boasted about his own accomplishments.

Although I only met Frank three or four times in person, I am truly "HONORED" that I DID get that privilege. What a Gentleman and Great Guy he was.

Now my wish is that "Lebby” is able to recover that American Flag that has special meaning to many of us here.

If there's anyone here who might be able to help in the recovery of that flag, please do your best to accomplish that for the members of this site and in memory of our good friend who we lost in November (2020), Frank Meade, aka "manhattan".

Phillip "Lebby”, Thank you for this effort on your part and PLEASE let ALL of us here know if you are able to successfully recover that American Flag.

Today, 3/30/2021, "Lebby" tells us that the flag that the late Frank Meade "manhattan" had donated is now in the departmental mail on the way to EMS Station 7 where it will be on display at their inside EMS Memorial.

Phillip, "Lebby" also advises us that it should be installed later in April when renovations are finished.

Thank you Phillip, aka "Lebby" for all the work you did to get that flag back. A job well done and greatly appreciated by the members here.

I know Frank, "manhattan", would have certainly appreciated what you've done as well. He had the HIGHREST RESPECT for Our Military, Police Officers, Firefighters and EMS.

Also Thank you to the Commanding Officer of EMS Station 7.

One of my old Buff Buddies, Bill Bernhard, aka "BFD151", who I talked to on the phone recently was telling me how great a job the guys do posting all the rundowns and relocations of incidents in NYC.

Bill and I were FDNY buff buddies for many years during the 70s, 80s and 90s.

Billy B is also a retired Bridgeport, Ct Firefighter during their own busy Bridgeport War Years when the place was burning as well. Probably starting from the late 70s or early 80s .

Billy B., (not to be confused with Willy D), also worked with the NYC Fire Patrol for a period of time. I believe one of the major incidents that he responded to was the Telephone Co fire.

Now living in Virginia, some of the guys here have met him

Anyway from Billy B., aka BFD151, a big thank you to the guys here that do such a GREAT JOB with all the fires and incidents listed within the five Boros, as well as the National and International Incidents.

Also as Bridgeport, Ct Firefighters, both his father and my father worked together in the same firehouse and same shift for years.

By the way, some may ask why Billy B didn't post this himself.
Well, the truth is that he doesn't have access to a computer and can only get on here when he goes down to his local volunteer firehouse, where he is a member.
He's the only guy that I know of that might be a little bit cheaper than I am. This guy is loaded with cash but it's hidden somewhere deep in the county of Cumberland, Va.

AGAIN - From Billy B, aka "BFD151", Big Shout Out to all the guys who post the rundowns and stories of incidents on here. It is Greatly Appreciated.
