Open Cabs

I remember that FWD that Ladder 174 had.  I also remember when the company was organized.  Prior to that when E 248 responded second due to a E310 first due box, E 248 would do truck work until a truck arrived.  Long runs for L 113 and L 170.

Trivia: this rig Reg.#412 was originally assigned to L107 until 1963, then went to L157, and finally L147 so the middle number 1_7 was the only change. ;)

Those old 53 & 56 ALF tillers must have been some tough old rigs. I remember them being used as spares in the 70's. L33 had one that I think was a 53 as a spare for a good while up until they got their first tower ladder. They had chalked on the sides of the cab "Rapid Exit."
