With a short stroll north past Elfreth's Alley to 147 North 2nd Street, you can visit Firemen's Hall- home of the Philadelphia Fire Department Museum and old quarters of Engine Company 8 (historically Ben Franklin's old company).

PJs making difference once again. Two jumps in 24 hours, the only thing that could make a paratrooper more jealous would be some mustard stains.

THEN & NOW......

May All Gone Before Rest In A Well Deserved Peace with our Thanks for their Service & Sacrifice.

There are some younger Member's OTJ now carrying on the Military Traditions ......one in particular who I know ( the Grandson of an FDNY Legend & the Son of a RET FDNY FF / Fire Marshal ) has Served an Enlistment in the US Navy....then an Enlistment in the US Army then now remains in the National Guard & has been on several deployments & is also a trained Combat Medic at a level almost to a Doctor......he (the Son) is now a Fire Marshal like his Dad was .

Showing on the Dept Orders often are Members going on Military Leave to participate in whatever they are called on for to Serve Our Country.

Also speaking of young Members OTJ I have known & worked with several former EMS Members who after coming to a Fire Unit made some exceptional Life Saving moves jumping in on Medical emergency & using their previous skills.

RESPECT DUE !
