PFS E3

This morning I saw an engine marked "PFS E3" at the city's HQ for the US Open, along with MCC 2 and various other vehicles. I have no idea what that designation stands for. Does anyone here know?

Standpipe is OOS at the Open, they are using that rig to supply the outlet if need be.

There is always an engine present during the Open. 96 was there when I left around 6:30.

Yes, they stage by the mobile command. They are there to operate as needed outside of the grounds. The Proby school rig is there to supply the standpipe outlet connect to Ashe Stadium.

Hard to believe that with all the preliminary prep. under way to ready the US Open, nobody checked the serviceability of the standpipe system?? Who's ass is in a sling for that?

Or like Murphy Law what could go wrong will go wrong at the worst possible time. It might have been a late mechanical issue.
