There was a website posted on here about links to FDNY response policies and procedures....Most of the pdf files are from the early 2000's... is there a more updated version available anywhere??

They have copyrighted the "Books" so you can not repost them on the internet. Alot of people have been purchasing the CD and copying it to Dropbox or something to study with an IPAD or other device.

Here is an older order form but info is the same

Thanks for the info....I find the FDNY tactics a good read and learn a few things, but I'm not ready to spend $50 just yet......

Thanks Tom and I agree with "gadesdad09". When I was on the job in Small City, Ct., I would make a visit to the FDNY Publications Unit at the Rock every three months. I would buy the latest update and all the FDNY training manuels they offered. What I learned from those manuels was much more than what I learned from some nationally recognized books written on the fire service. Maybe we didn't have much use for dealing with subway incidents, but we had our share of private dwellings and Queen Ann's, smaller multiple dwellings and brush fires. We learned how to prepare for serious weather related incidents just like the FDNY did.

Like one FDNY member told me a very long time ago. The smoke and heat is the same whether you're in the FDNY or Smalltown, America.

Those manuels were a HUGE HELP to me and to the other firefighters I worked with.
