Question regarding 10-13?

I know the Fire Marshals and EMS use 10-13, but most sites that list 10 codes say only the Marshals can use 10-13. Is there any truth to that or do companies just have to use 10-47 and 10-48?

We don’t usually use either of those. We just call for PD and give the reason for calling. The 13 is only for Marshall’s.

You’ll usually hear a company say they need PD forthwith at such and such location due to xyz.

Marshal's also use the 10-85 depending on the situation.

And then hear every company in the area and the SOC companies ask to get put on it
