Makes sense, gotta be a lot of frozen hydrants out there with his cold, better to start them out, then to wait for a chief to get on scene and special call one, Im kinda suprised if they are doing this that they have not manned the two airport hose wagons and assign them if they are closer
It is in effect until 0900 2-17-15 when both a 10-75 & 10-70 are given that a Sat & associated ENG would respond...........earlier this week a SAT & their ENG was also to be assigned to any Working Fire on City Island when they had the water main break.
Large diameter hose (as previously indicated) and a manifold to supply numerous handlines. They also can use LDH to supply towerladders and, on occasion, the large monitor that each Satellite has.
They also carry a manifold that can be set up near the fire area & is supplied from the LDH & allows individual lines to be stretched from it rather than from a distance away.....they also carry hose bridges to allow rig movement over the LDH.
