Siren Question

OK i watched this vid on youtube and the guy had a code 3 master com siren and he said that it came out of an FDNY battalion car did FDNY ever use code3 the only sirens i know they use are the PA-300's EQ2B's and  some have whelens like battalion 9

I don't know whats so special about the noisemakers.  PA-100,Q, EQ  ?  So what?

If you want to remember what it sounded in the 'war years' before the electronic stuff and the "Q",s, just remember the old Fderal 28, which was on just about every rig the City had.
