For a number of years, before 1959, the boats were assigned as Engine Companies, & if the boat moved to another station, the company number went with then. Then FDNY stopped doing that, & afterwards in 1959 they changed them to Marine Companies.

Marine 7 - Foot of Fulton St - just south of the Bklyn Bridge (East Rv) Closed 1970 / 1911 was in Mahn
at the foot of Beekman St.

Marine 9 - Pier 6 (SI) - Staten Is Ferry Term (Slip # 8) - Navy Homeport (SI)

The Hackett was given to the City Island Business community for a $1.00, but it would have cost too much money to repair to make it operational, so it sat on land, near Fordham St, for years on the island never used.
