Does anyone have a map of the response areas for the Squads?

Anyone know why SQ08 only responds up to 2nd due and not 3rd like other squads? Is it due to remote location on island?

Not sure but i would think maybe due to a large Response area having 3rd Due Boxes would take them out of the picture more often as a SQ & going back to SQ*1 responding to SI ?

They can use E154 in the New Springfield area. Even tho it’s a straight shot for E167…. Should open TL88 too with E168 and for sure the BC24 is needed with E168 or either with SQ8… sadly I don’t think E168 has room since EMS is there I have heard kitchen very small

Idea is to prevent SQ01 from constantly traveling the Verrazano... those EzPass bills were getting quite expensive lol

All kidding aside it is to keep the SOC units more readily available to go on the -75 or greater. Not to mention the size of response zones for SI when you are going beyond second due is basically like half the borough.

Yes it is shared with EMS. The kitchen table was built by a now retired Firefighter and proudly displays the company patch of Engine 168 and EMS Station 23. There is a time capsule within the table consisting of rosters, among other paperwork, of both units.

If it's a SOC job, they go as a SOC company
