FEMA has been trying to minimize air transport over the past couple of years if possible. TX-TF1 is in College Station and cached for truck OR air transport like all others. During Harvey all USAR assets into Texas came by road transport organic to the team.

You wouldn't have guessed a week ago that barely 10% of victims had been found by now. Reportedly, now they have had to stop for safety reasons. What a tough situation.

Yeah I’ve seen reports of the non-collapsed part of the building shifting pretty heavily, like a few feet.

Three NNFD Master Firefighters and one NNFD Lieutenant are part of the Virginia Task Force 2 unit that was deployed to assist in Florida. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers!

Virginia Task Force 2 is from the Hampton Roads area, including Newport News, Hampton, York County, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and Portsmouth.

OH-TF1 is on site and are beginning their 12 hour rotating shifts. Apparently all the teams coming in are staying on a cruise ship due to low availability of hotels due to the holiday weekend.
