Temporary FDNY Ambulances 20xx?

Lebby ..... any update on these White FDNY Buses....I was in a store on Northern Blvd in Bayside today & what looked like one of them was responding by...I did not get a good look ...it had a pretty good sounding Electric Horn .....are there still out of town EMS Personnel operating in NYC under the FDNY EMS ?

So FEMA units are long gone at this point. My understanding is that we got the leased buses due to the fact that we pulled all available members into the field and at the time didn't have enough ambulances. But, as things are returning to "normal" and members are returning to thier previous assignment, BOT, BHS, etc. There isn't the manpower to staff all these extra buses. Now, they are just in the spare pool.

Correct, I rarely see them used.
