Released last night - the Bell Club newsletter states:
FDNY News Battalion Chief Joseph R. Downey, assigned to the Rescue Operations Battalion, has been designated the Chief of Rescue Operations. This designation is retroactive to 0900 on July 2.
The FDNY promoted 28 Firefighters to Fire Marshal. These promotions were effective 0900 on August 6. On Tuesday, August 9, 231 probationary firefighters graduated from the fire academy after undergoing 18 weeks of training.
Two temporary relocations took place on August 30. In the first move, Collapse Rescue 1 moved from its quarters with Ladder 25 to the quarters of Ladder 16. Then Engine 74 relocated to the quarters of Ladder 25. Ladder 16 will be Collapse Rescue 1’s main transport.
Engine 224 is scheduled to move back to their quarters on Hicks Street sometime during the month of October. F

Why did Engine 74 move to Engine 56 quarters.
The former qtrs of Eng 56 was shared with Ambulance 1. Amb 1 was reassigned to Eng 1. After Eng 56 was disbanded, Squad 6 was the last unit to occupy the station until Eng 74 was redeployed there so that FDNY would not lose the property.

According to article property was donated by Harry Archer with provision that it would go back to family if not occupied by Fire company
