How many ever trained on a 45 or 55 foot Bangor ladder? How many still carry one on a ladder company? How many did the church or auditorium raise on one of these? Last time I climbed one was 40 years ago. IMG_8359.jpegIMG_8360.jpegIMG_8361.jpeg

Trained on them early on...how to hold the poles, position the poles etc...it was more about reinforcing teamwork as it required 4 members. I can put that ladder up in my sleep, of course with three other sleep buddies....

I remember putting up the Bangor Ladder that we had on our 1962 Seagrave tractor trailer tiller too.

But when a 1979 American LaFrance tractor trailer tiller replaced that '62 Seagrave rig, I think the Bangor Ladder was eliminated.

New Haven, all the tillers have 2 section 50 footers. the straight truck and tower has a 2 section 40 footer. They don’t come off the truck much but when you need them you need them.
