THROWBACK THURSDAY

"I dunno, Toody, whaddaya think?  . . . I dunno either, Muldoon."

1. Check my avatar.
2. The Carvel stand (Custard's Last Stand on Long Beach Road was better.)
3. Mister Softee in his Ford/Boyertown.
4. Carvel VW busses.
5. The infamous Plymouth Valiant. I had one of its clones . . . the Dodge Lancer . . . in 1971. Slant 6 engine . . . wouldn't go over 45 downhill with a 50 knot tailwind.
6. Larry Storch in his F-Troop costume.
7. Lamb tongues? Really? Should have been a fruit crate with those tricycle wheels and the entire neighborhood riding.
8. John Wayne brought to his knees by Tiny Tim, while Dick Martin looks on (where's Goldy Hawn?)
9. Bill Cullen . . . The Price Is Right, Winner Take All, Place The Face, Name That Tune, I've Got A Secret (panelist with Garry Moore as host), To Tell The Truth (also as panelist with Garry Moore hosting; after Bud Collyer retired), and more.
10. My Favorite Martian, Ray Walston.
11. Lucky got it . . . you can still get them with single serve ice cream cups.

# 1....they were saying to each other.... "we will never park on a hydrant again when 132 is coming in "....anybody remember the trophy in the kitchen ?

While we are on ice cream, Do you remember Mello Rolls?
Yes a commercially  prepared roll of ice cream wrapped in paper in the freezer & served on a soft cone with a special horizontal trough like top to hold the unwrapped ice cream roll ......another old good treat was a commercially prepared "Breyers Ice Cream Roll " a boxed take home dessert ...not hand held but a large log of dark devils food cake with vanilla ice cream in between the rolled  layers & when sliced it was served on a plate.

Those slant 6 engines would run forever. The floorboards and outer body would fall off but that engine would run, run, run. Points, plugs, condenser and tweak the carb once in a while and all would be good.

Certainly very Impressive "raybrag".

Only about 0830 hours as I write this and all the talk of Carvel, Mr Softee, Bryers Ice Cream Cream Roll, and those Ice Cream cups, "guess where I'm headed this afternoon" ?

For Bonus Points, can you guess ?

And I don't really care how fat that "fdce54" guy says I am in some pictures posted on here (if you've seen his comments).

Let me also say this:
"Johnny Gage", none of this would be happening if you didn't post all of those GREAT Ice Cream Memories in your latest "THROWBACK THURSDAY" series.

TCBY? Millies on New London Turnpike?  Ben & Jerry's in Uncasville?  DQ on Main St.?  Nah.  Fuggedabout ice cream . . . that Big Mac is calling . . . and they even sell some s**t they call "ice cream" with unidentified fat as an ingredient.  Maybe fdce54 is right.
