The Rescue 3 post 9/11 sounds interesting. I don't think I've ever seen that. Thanks R1smokeeater

Great video R1 ... Enjoyed listening to Battalion Chief Howie Carlson's (R.I.P.) comments on how great it is to be a New York City Firefighter ... I couldn't agree more ...

Does anybody have a decent copy of "Fire In The City ".......made in the '50 s ......narrated by Walter Mathau......it focused on ENG*58  & LAD*26 responding from  their old quarters on 115 St.....................................also an early sixties film made by NBC......based on R*1 when they were in w/ENG*65.....among other things contained in this one is an 11 mile response by R*1 to 44-9876 Jamaica Av & 162 St in Queens .......1 camera man is tied on the roof filming from behind the gumball mars lite & the second camera man is in a bowline on a bight strapped to the radiator w/his feet in the tow hook openings in the front bumper ......they ride filming like this all the way to Jamaica.......also sadly captured is a response to a fourth alarm in lower Manhattan where one of R*1 s members FF John C. Farragher makes the SUPREME SACRAFICE
& the resulting search operations to get him out. Featured in this video is Charlie Driscoll as a FF, he later became the original Captain of R*5 when they were organized in the eighties.........also featured is Paul Giedel a member of R*1 at the time .......his SON Paul was killed on 9-11 while a member of R*1  RIP NEVER FORGET .....NEVER FORGIVE....... these  are 2 great historical FDNY videos that should be kept alive........i have both on a VHS tape ....the 58 & 26 one is ok but the R*1 piece is a little jumpy & not a good copy.....i am not to good at all w/ computers maybe someone out there could locate decent copies & post them for all to share..........i also have my Proby School graduation from 1968 as well as some responses of LAD*108 from Siegel St in the late sixties ......i am working on figuring out how to post these ...they originally were on 8 MM but i just had them put on a DVD .......on the FDNYRANT in the IRON LUNG forum i have posted some shots in both the GROUP PHOTO & OLD FIREHOUSE threads.....i just purchased an ACDSEE program to allow me to reduce the resolution below 1024 kbs....when i figure how to work it i will be posting some more older shots ( by  older i mean '60s 70s & 80s)....what is the resolution limit to post on the nycfire.net ? hope someone can dig up those videos....thanks  Jack K.

I remember that video.  I always liked the fake sound effects put in, like the fire, or the guys hacking their lungs out on the roof.
