I looked up IMTT Fire Department. Huge oil refinery. They have quite a bit of apparatus. Does anyone know what their shift manning is? I’m guessing 10 to 12.

North Hudson Regional Consolidation.
Discussions to consolidate the North Hudson fire departments began in the early 1980s.[5]

The North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue (NHRFR) was established on January 11, 1999. The former fire departments of North Bergen, Union City, Weehawken, West New York, and Guttenberg were merged to provide a safer, more efficient fire department.

The Equipment they run is pretty new by most standards. Top flight bunch.

I did some quick math. These five cities have a total population of approximately 210,000 people in approximately 10 square miles! I’m sure they get their share of work!

They actually been a lot slower than they use to be… Fire wise…. Alittle over 8k calls last year I would say the population is more than that and then day time is another story.

4 Front Line Tillers 1 in Reserve says a lot about those streets they need to get through. Squad 7 is a Quint very rare but useful. Thanks Skyler.

I was wondering why Irvington didn't respond. Then I remembered IFD only got 5 Engines and they got to call Mutrual Aid everytime something big goes down.

Irvington can send an Engine & Truck without calling mutual aid. Most towns only require 2 Eng 1 truck for coverage.

I've been living in Irvington since I was 8. I can understand Newark Police in Irvington due to Irvington bordering the 4th, 5th and the 7th or 6th Precincts. I made that comment because most of Irvington is Duplexes and if they get a Duplex, most times its spreaded to most the damn house. So MFD or NFD has to come out. I remember 2 weeks ago, IFD caught a big one. They had the Fire Marshal Office, Maplewood, and Springfield FD on sence within 15 minutes of the inital alarm.

Irvington Working Fire they get a South Essex Engine which is Maplewood.

I think they only did that cause South Orange and Maplewood use the same Muncipal Building on Springfield Ave.

They've been slowly consolidating services over the years, after the schools merged this was the next step.

I forgot to add, Irvington sends, 2 Engines, 1 Ladder and the Deputy Chief to a Residential electrcal socket smoking.
