Is the Job going to increase manning, establish extra companies, etc. for the approaching storm?

All RRV Units. This second rig will be staffed with 2 FF and a boss and the engines have the 5th man tonight as well.

And I'm guessing thawing units

I hope everybody is stocked up & remains safe during the storm.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6zaVYWLTkU

Also the BFUs & extra ENGs & LADs staffed....phase 2 of AUC 200 activated.

NYCs "prediction" as of Fri evening is 8 to 14 inches w/heaviest in BKLYN & SI.....possible coastal flooding during Sat's morning & evening hi tides....i hope all the civilians pitch in & keep their local hydrant clear.

I saw a news conference this afternoon and both the Mayor and Fire Commissioner made the point  about property owners clearing the plugs.

Ok that's good.

The PLOWNYC feature on the Department of Sanitation website allows tracking of the progress of snowplows in the city. Go to  http://maps.nyc.gov/snow/#

Numerous ambulances and Conditions cars are getting stuck all over the city. Communications are on EMS Citywide 2 and truck companies are being called to assist. One unit just reported they've been there for almost 6 hours, looking for an update on the tow truck. Also according to Twitter, the dispatcher advised that units that are stuck in the snow must get out every 20 minutes and check for clear exhaust.

1830 hrs 65-2...three hi axle vehicles & three swift water vehicles are in service.....also three more hi axle vehicles are available for special calls.....ICs shall use them as they see fit.........(numerous streets in QNS blocked & unplowed & several rigs have lost their chains....several Rigs ..Ambulances & NYPD vehicles stuck )  as of Sat evening latest "prediction" may be over 2 feet.
