RET FF IRVING L. BULGER LAD*9.....
Irving “Irv” Bulger, 86, was a native Staten Islander who was loved by everyone who met him. The devoted husband, father, poppy, and great poppy was a valiant member of FDNY. In 1965, he was awarded the Emily Trevor/Mary B. Warren Medal for a dangerous rescue (Dec 4, 1965) where he climbed 11 stories on a scaling ladder and rescued a family from a fire. Irv enjoyed spending time with his family, including dinners, cruises, or their annual family vacation at the Jersey shore. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara, his four children, Gary, Michael, Bonne, and Robyn, their spouses, his 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
