    Ladder 5

The only other tiller I've seen with a multiversal nozzle mounted on the tractor was Ladder 7's 1959 Mack C/Maxim 85ft. that they ran with for 3 years until they got a 1962 ALF 100ft. ;)

    Ladder 5

This photo was taken sometime after 1962-63 when portable wooden ladders were replaced with aluminum ones and before 1967 when plywood riot roofs were added.

FDNY Chief Officer Cars and Vehicles

L46's 1955 FWD 75ft. tiller was Shop #387. They ran with that rig until they finally got their first metal aerial (1962 Seagrave K model 100ft. ex-L43) in 1968. That 1955 FWD was then reassigned to L153 where it served until 1970. ;)

FDNY and NYC Firehouses and Fire Companies - 2nd Section

I remember during the 70's  ;)when there was an old American LaFrance 700 series pumper stored in that yard. It was kind of similar to the 1947 model that E236 ran with from 1947 to 1953.

    86 Truck

Ladder 86 was organized on April 15, 1963. Not sure if they were assigned another rig before but the oldest I have on my listings is a 1955 FWD 75ft. stick (#385) that was originally assigned to L53 (City Island) until 1962 then was reassigned to L164 before going to L86 where it remained...

    A LOOK BACK.

The rig seen here is a 1937 Seagrave 85ft. stick so it must be L27. The only other Bronx Ladder co. that was assigned a 1937 Seagrave was L31. L38 was running with a 1921 ALF 75ft. with a 1932 FWD tractor. ;)
