I believe this is further up Roosevelt from Main Street. Years ago, the corner of Main & Roosevelt was "F.W. Woolworth's" which had entrances on Main Street and also Roosevelt Ave. The building that had the '7-5' was possibly what I remember as "Gertz" department store.

That is normally what 168 would do. However, at that time of the morning it's a roll of the dice on how the traffic is on the West Shore. It's a long stretch between Arthur Kill Rd. and Victory Blvd.

In Queens, back in the 60' and continuing on Voluntary hospital units were dispatched through the 911 system. Well, there was no "911" and calling for PD or an ambulance was "440-1234." Those Queens units were, Booth Memorial, Flushing, Long Island Jewish, Jamaica, Mary Immaculate, Wyckoff...

Obviously an out of State vehicle. I Hope it was towed after all the units took up.

Many years ago, 50's - 60's maybe later, the Parkside was a small restaurant on 104 street just south of Roosevelt Avenue. The pizza was fantastic. Then, obviously, they moved up to Corona Avenue which is their current home.
