Besides being a Staff Chief, maybe they are a Citywide Tour Commander??Setting aside the rank issue, does anybody know why all of a sudden 13R is responding to (apparently) all multiple alarms?

That building caught fire in the early 1990’s I believe. Looked like a 5 story factory. There is a video of it collapsing. Never knew what that building was. Just googled the building and the address came up and sure enough it’s the same building.Actually, the firehouse was within the Wallabout Market which was torn down at the beginning of WWII and allowed expansion of the adjacent Brooklyn Navy Yard. You can see that the firehouse was built in the Walloon/Belgian/Dutch style of architecture to match the neighborhood.
On February 26, 1920 six members of Engine Company 251 were burned to death while operating at a Brooklyn Gas Light Co. facility on Kent Avenue. They were trapped in a pump house when an oil tank overflowed and exploded. Until 9/11, it was the largest loss of life in a single company at a fire.
